Genitive plural?[edit]

I think that the genitive should be Stát Aontaithe Mheiriceá, but I don't know how to change it. Note that on the Wiktionary page for stát, the nominative plural is stáit, while the genitive plural is stát. Therefore, the genitive plural, i.e. "of the United States of America" should be Stát Aontaithe Mheiriceá. BirdValiant (talk) 07:17, 26 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

In Irish, you don't have two genitives in a row. Since Mheiriceá is in the genitive already, stáit stays in the nominative even when the phrase is used in the genitive: Is príomhchathair Stáit Aontaithe Mheiriceá é Washington, D.C.Aɴɢʀ (talk) 10:19, 26 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
