Parentheses[edit]

@GabeMoore, what is the significance of the parentheses? Is the term attested as both amokätstse and amoktse? If so, then we should have those two entries instead of this one, and one of them can be called an {{alternative form of}} the other one. —Mahāgaja · talk 16:22, 29 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Mahagaja, I'm not sure how to go forth with parentheses; my source uses them a lot. I kind of assumed the parentheses denoted an alternative form, but wanted to stick to my source. Going forward, should I do that? I've been considering it for a while. GabeMoore (talk) 21:36, 29 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
@GabeMoore: According to Krause and Thomas, Tocharisches Elementarbuch, amokäts is the Toch.A form and amoktse is the Toch.B form, so it looks like your source is using parentheses to conflate forms in the two languages. —Mahāgaja · talk 21:54, 29 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
