The two Latin nouns & their etymologies

Shouldn't the text of Etymology 1 be in Etymology 2? Or, is anus=ring also derived from words meaning "old woman"? If the latter is true, we need to clarify that in both etymology sections. If anus=ring is NOT derived from the same words as anus=old woman, then can we please verify its etymology and fix that section?

I would like to do this myself, but unfortunately I am too disabled from illnesses to do much (if curious, see my Wikipedia page), so I am stuck making these kinds of suggestions. I appreciate the hard work of whoever resolves the problems in any of my comments. :)

It seems like this article should acknowledge the alternate plural "ani" in English, even if just to deprecate it -- particularly since it is the ONLY example that appears on the Citations tab! -71.174.175.150 14:34, 14 November 2014 (UTC)
