Highly POV-pushing definitions[edit]

This word means "stubborn", i.e. "ass-like", in the original (donkey) sense of "ass", and metaphorically means "immovable; unwilling to compromise; entrenched". The painting of it as a vulgar and excessively harsh epithiet is ignorant American bullshit, from people who only hear the "ass" part of the word and think of "asshole". I say this as an American, NB. — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 12:43, 23 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

No, what you've written in highly POV-pushing bullshit. We describe words as they are used, whether you like those definitions or not. Mglovesfun (talk) 12:48, 23 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Odd choice of quote.[edit]

The given quote for definition 1 doesn't seem to be a usage quite reflecting that definition and doesn't seem to fit it as an example. Although it appears that its being used in some sort of pejorative sense, its application to, apparently, a piece of music(? not sure if that's what it's referring to without context) doesn't appear to be conveying a lack of reasonable judgment. All in all it's a rather confusing example, it almost seems to be using it in a third sense not listed here, related but not identical to Def. 1.
