I heard that to the Greeks, as in Homer's Odyssee, the word automatic was a signal for a utopia. 77.175.64.145 11:13, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

The following reference is inconsistent with automatic/automatos: μέμαα (mémaa, “to wish eagerly, strive, yearn, desire”). Is there a reason for this confusion?
