Does the word automatization exist?[edit]

I read again and again the word automatization. Being German I suppose that most people just "anglicize" the German word Automatisierung. I went to www.dict.cc to double check and they know both words automation and automatization. The same with www.m-w.com. My questions are now:

  1. if somebody confirms that both words are common, could the word automatization be added to en.wiktionary.org?
  2. could then be explained what the difference between these words is (area, dialect,...)

automation is common. I’ve never heard of "automatization" in U.S. English. —Stephen 12:21, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Googling shows "automatization" exists, but is probably not perfectly synonymous with "automation". The word "automatization" is used in the context of human learning and human cognition, judging from google books:automatization. --Dan Polansky 19:31, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
