Possible missing sense: (slang) blood[edit]
John Camden Hotten's Slang Dictionary (1873) says that badminton is boxing slang for blood (because of the drink; compare claret). I can't find citations but it's hard to search because both boxing and the other kind of badminton are sports. Equinox ◑ 23:27, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
