Cited. As for Hokkien, I don't know about languages/dialects with semi-standard written forms and Min Nan, including Hokkien is already accepted as a language with a mixed script. Cantonese has at least some standards, such as Hong Kong. As far as I know, using foreign words in foreign scripts in standard Chinese texts (Mandarin) is normally not considered borrowings but mixing languages, such as "iPhone" in a Chinese text will not become Chinese.
