Talk:baranda

The etymology here suggests that a word like veranda has been kicking around in the Indo-European family since before Indo-Iranian split from Latin, which is difficult to believe. The page on veranda indicates, rather, that the word hopped from Portuguese to Hindi, whence it returned to Europe in English.
