Is this very long term really the term Navajo soldiers used during World War I and World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, etc.? 71.66.97.228 02:40, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

I don’t know if there were any Navajo soldiers in WW I, or if there were enough of them to be able to encounter one another and have a conversation in Navajo. In WW II, Korea, Vietnam, etc., this is the word that they used when speaking Navajo. When everyone knows which weapon is being discussed, you can just use beeʼeldǫǫh for it. If this were something that came up often in conversations, the people would have found a shorter term for it, but since it is rarely spoken of, this is the term they use. —Stephen ^(Talk) 14:55, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
