Rfv-sense: "Other genera formerly classified in the family Pomatomidae." This is way too vague to get its own definition, surely. ---> Tooironic (talk) 05:04, 26 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

According to w:bluefish, the fish that are no longer included in the genus are now the Scombropidae (w:gnomefish) of which there is only one genus, Scombrops, and only three species.

Further to the above: Chambers 1908 has "a fish of the family Scomberidae, abundant on the east coast of North America". Equinox 05:10, 22 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
