I think it's misleading that IPA transcription of carro in Spanish is [ˈkaro] and in Italian [ˈkar.ro], while this word sounds exactly the same in both languages. I understand that in Italian it is considered a geminate and belongs to different syllables, but also consider that Spanish -rr- is not just a trill but rather a long/strong trill, so the accurate transcription should be [ˈkarːo] with [rː] and consequently the same for ALL Spanish words containing the -rr- digraph. —El Mexicano (talk) 18:47, 10 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
