Etymology 2: 'cep, porcini'. I couldn't find this anywhere except tearma.ie, which is famous for coining new terms rather than documenting actual usage. However, the extremely common senses of etymology 1 make this word difficult to search for, so it's possible I overlooked something. —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 09:39, 8 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

EID under "mushroom" has "Darning mushroom, ceap dearnála." But I don't know whether that's directly from "mushroom", or means "darning block". --Catsidhe (verba, facta) 10:02, 8 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
Since a darning mushroom is not actually a mushroom but a piece of wood, it's probably "block". —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 11:28, 9 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
However, NEID does have an entry for cep, glossing it as ceap, and AFAIK NEID is not as given to coining new terms as tearma.ie is, so I'm withdrawing this RFV now. Thanks! —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 11:31, 9 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
