Kloot[edit]

Dutch 'kloot' indeed means round mass, lump as with the other Germanic languages. That it is used in vulgar language as testicle is derived from that, but in common parlance it is quite normal to talk of a lump of earth as a 'klootje aarde', and our own Earth as the 'aardkloot'. 2001:14BA:2BE5:7A00:E18F:BB4B:B403:428F 16:43, 5 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
