Can we find any reference relating it to the Arabic word قرن Qarn which means horn? This is a very old word from Classical Arabic that is still in use now. --112.199.130.236 17:56, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
- See Proto-Semitic *ḳarn-. The Semitic words may or may not be related to the Indo-European ones, by way of borrowing. The Latin name of dogwood, as well as Ancient Greek κράνον (kránon), hardly has to do with it. Fay Freak (talk) 18:48, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
