Wikipedia has a music subgenre Cyberpunk, which only contains the music from the Matrix movies. Is this sufficient for an additional definition? (Kiwima (talk) 20:57, 21 February 2015 (UTC))Reply

Unlikely. What sources do they cite? Do they meet our WT:CFI? Equinox 21:01, 21 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
If you look at at w:Cyberpunk, you'll see quite a few cyberpunk-influenced groups and artists mentioned, many of which precede the Matrix movies by quite a bit. I'm not even sure that the Matrix movies are, strictly-speaking, cyberpunk- though they owe a great deal to the genre. At any rate, we go by usage, as documented in durably-archived works, and we don't accept wikis as sources. That means there would need to be people using the term with that meaning in the type of sources that WT:CFI accepts. Chuck Entz (talk) 21:30, 21 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
