Romanian word is usually listed as an Albanian borrowing, and Slavic *dolto/*delto (chisel) as related to Prussian dalptan (chisel), Lithuanian del̃bti (to cast down) and sometimes to the Proto-Germanic *delbaną (to dig, hollow out). Can this PIE root in *dol-t-eH2 (currently mentioned as "Proto-Albanian" in the article) be sourced? It sounds dubious.. --Ivan Štambuk (talk) 23:16, 12 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
