Don't date yourself!

The expression don't date yourself! means "Don't be out of date", right? Can date yourself in bare form have two meanings? First would be to go out on a date by oneself, and the other meaning to embarrass oneself by saying something out of touch with one's audience. —Soap— 22:54, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
