no quotation[edit]

Hello, in the 2nd sense of the word–whose entry here is present only in the English language yet–as a verb, the 2nd item under the drop-down list of "quotations", which is labelled as 1725 and ostensibly cites the title of the literary work and its author's name solely, does not include any quotation. Please add the corresponding quotation. Thank you. A Mediocre Lifetime Student (talk) 06:27, 10 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Also an artist? Obsolete slang[edit]

John Camden Hotten's Slang Dictionary (1873) also defines daub as "in low language, an artist". (That is, the painter, not the painting.) Equinox 23:51, 14 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
