"Dawn" is not, at least not from an astronomical viewpoint, synonymous with "sunrise"; it's the twilight period just before sunrise. — This comment was unsigned.

I'm wondering if "The morning twilight period immediately before sunrise" and "The time when the sun rises" are really so different as to require both senses. DAVilla 07:30, 18 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
