Hebrew[edit]

The Hebrew word for development as a process which happens without human planning is deriving from the intransitive verb of "להתפתח" (lehitpateakh) and is "התפתחות" (hitpatkhut), not "פיתוח" (pituakh), which derives from the transitive verb "לפתח" (lefateakh).
