there is no word "dito" in the French language. The past participle of the word "say" ("dire") is "dit". There is no form or version of the verb "dire" which is spelled "dito". I believe the reference to French in this context to be wrong. 195.128.0.89 10:42, 21 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

There is a French adverb dito, which is a loanword from Italian and not a form of dire. It is listed by Larousse and you can easily find uses on Google Books (most of which seem to be old — maybe the term is dated?) — Ungoliant (falai) 13:45, 21 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
