I would change Sense 3 to read, "One who believes he/she is more intelligent and/or less intrusive than he/she actually is." Example: a motorist going slow in the fast lane of a highway, oblivious to the difficulties this is presenting to other motorists. IMHO a lack of intent is the key: a dweeb does not know, as opposed to does not care, that he/she is stupid or causing a problem. --The Midnight Skulker

Questionable definition as a loser[edit]
The term "loser" is mostly used to describe people who lose a contest, lose a bet, lose in life (fail to succeed) as being incapable of success, or lose weight (as a pun). I am removing the use of the word "loser" for defining a dweeb, because not every negative word can be used as a synonym for another negative term, and other text is sufficient for the definition. -Lexic77 12:21, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
Origin of term dweeb[edit]
My husband is convinced that he coined dweeb around 1968 while in school 6th or 7th grade, in Addison IL. His name is David Dean. The meaning is a socially inept person. Linda Dean (talk) 01:59, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
