Never heard or read this. PUC21:25, 16 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

This appears to have some traction in the collocation gaz à effet serre.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]  --Lambiam 14:10, 17 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Lambiam: Several of the articles you've linked to use gaz à effet de serre concurrently (and more frequently), for example this one, where I think the form gaz à effet serre is nothing more than an typo. PUC08:09, 18 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
If it is a typo, it is a very common one: [9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16]. None of these use gaz à effet de serre. To me it looks more like a contraction en style télégraphique, similar to the frequently seen hôtel ville[17][18][19][20] instead of the usual hôtel de ville – but more common in gaz à effet serre.  --Lambiam 09:35, 18 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Yes, it's not entirely inconceivable. I guess we can call this one cited. PUC11:25, 18 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
