The American Heritage Dictionary describes fisc as the treasury of a kingdom or state. From the old latin fiscus meaning woven basket used by tax collectors to collect taxes. Why isn't this definition in Wiktionary? — This unsigned comment was added by 204.115.188.46 (talk).
