Tagalog Pronunciation[edit]

@Ysrael214 Glottal stop at the end? I say this with no glottal stop. Mar vin kaiser (talk) 07:23, 31 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Mar vin kaiser That sounds wrong to me lol, sounds gaggy. Even to people I hear. The only time it becomes like it has no glottal stop is when it's in the middle of a sentence in continuous speech because in Tagalog, glottal stop is softened like "Walá nang pera" instead of walâ. Maybe both are acceptable? Since it's hard to find a video with saying gagì alone, maybe this can be examples.

@Ysrael214: 3rd video to me does sound like it has a glottal stop. First video, I don't hear the glottal stop. Second video, it's more of gagè. Ok, so even though I'm not used to it, it seems like people do say it with a glottal stop. I guess I'm more used to the conyo version of "gagi". Though listening to conyo videos, I also hear that they do the glottal stop at times. So I'm not convinced of the glottal stop, but now I'm wondering whether the non-glottal-stop pronunciation should be here too. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 07:55, 31 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
