@Mahagaja Came across this one during my efforts in cleaning up Old Irish declensions. I have huge doubts on this particular word, gelach, qualifying as an Old Irish word at all, since all of DIL's quotations seem blatantly Early Modern Irish. mellohi! (僕の乖離) 15:48, 17 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Mellohi!: You're quite right, it's not attested until Early Modern Irish. Still, the fact that all three modern Goidelic languages have this word makes me wonder whether we could at least have Reconstruction:Middle Irish/gelach as the ancestor of Irish gealach, Manx giallagh, and Scottish Gaelic gealach. —Mahāgaja · talk 16:35, 19 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
