The creator of this page has supplied a 2007 citation. Can we find another sufficient to meet WT:CFI? --EncycloPetey 19:43, 21 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I get 13,000 hits for gingerism on google, 22 for gingerism at news.google.co.uk. This is the most recent, [1] saying ""People of all nationalities and hair colours reacted to the event, described as an example of "gingerism" -- the discrimination against redheads, or "gingers." ""
Also Red hair bullying cases could end up in court "Gingerism in the workplace could form the......." Martin451 (talk) 20:06, 21 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
I have added the above to refs. to the page plus another two, including one from CBS and a second from the BBC. The most recent is the Canada.com one from this year. Martin451 (talk) 21:09, 21 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
But that first quote does not meet CFI, since it is mention, not use of the word, and since it immediately defines the word. --EncycloPetey 14:33, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Cited with properly formatted, apparently qualifying quotations. My ginger-loving friend in San Mateo is bewildered by negative attitudes toward redheads of any color or stripe. I'm sure that ginger refugees from anywhere, with enough sunscreen and big hats, could enjoy all corners of California. DCDuring TALK 16:09, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Silly word, but I think we should keep it. The citations are of good quality. I wonder if/when gingerist will qualify. Equinox 00:49, 26 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
