I am saying that when an author uses English inflections that are not used in the original language on a borrowed word, that is evidence that the author is treating the borrowing as an English word. In your comment, slovos and lugaccios are not slavic words. However, neither do I take them as evidence for slovo and lugaccio being English words, because you use them in the context of a conversation where you are trying to make the point that simply by adding an English plural you have not magically converted them to English words.
