My son is married to a woman who is the Aunt to her sister's 4 children. This makes him their Uncle, correct? Am I, his mother, related to his Nieces and Nephews in any way?
- In English, an aunt’s husband is an uncle, and an uncle’s wife is an aunt. So your son is an uncle to the four children. You are technically a greataunt-in-law (or grandaunt-in-law), but it’s a tenuous connection, since you are not quite a sister-in-law of any of the children’s grandparents. —Stephen 03:05, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
