I do not understand the etymology 1 that make "grieve" meaning "governor of a town or province", since until now I could not find such a derivation in other dictionaries. Can someone give me please an explanation? Thanks.Loribru 14:43, 24 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I'm not sure what dictionaries you've been looking at, but that definition is correct. I've marked it as (obsolete) and added a second, Scotland-specific sense. — lexicógrafa | háblame14:56, 24 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
