Antonym?[edit]

The word "heuristic" doesn't seem to have an antonym, so what terms or phrases would be used to communicate alternative methods? "Provable?" Markhu (talk) 18:53, 17 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Since "heuristic" implies experimental, exploratory, and trial and error, the term "conventional" or even "scientific method" might serve as the opposite. Other sites call the opposite non-heuristic. Dennishidalgo (talk) 18:49, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A more complete definition?[edit]

After reading this entry, I came out with no good understanding of the term. I then researched on the humanistic and scientist usages of the term and found that this entry could use more info. However, this might be enough for the editors who have been working with this entry. Please, let me know what you think. Dennishidalgo (talk) 18:51, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
