Ice lolly vs. ice pop (UK)[edit]

Currently Wikipedia doesn't make clear the difference (in the UK at least) between an ice lolly and an ice pop. Fortunately, we do! An ice lolly is the larger kind on a stick (approximately a rounded rectangle) while an ice pop is the tall thin frozen kind in a tube, liable to become slushy as you hold it. Even if so, I state explicitly that I reckon that the distinction between most terms at play cannot be mapped onto other languages generally enough for separate translations to be justifiable. The more so I have merged now as the distinctions do not reflect well in the definitions given on Wiktionary: like that an ice pop is defined as an “ice lolly or popsicle”, and I see the particular definition of ice pop you aim at but it, not even marked as a hyponym, has not had any translations so far.
