Rfv-sense

The noun seems more Scots than English. The only quote in the entry is also found in the A Dictionary of the Older Scottish Tongue (up to 1700):

  • And syne or that intermell wes done, / The greit battell on euerie syd did jone, / With sic ane reird quhill all the rochis rang, / So thrafullie togidder that tha thrang.

The definition, "A battle fought in close combat", also seems a little off- the Scots dictionary has "A mingled host; a mixed encounter." Chuck Entz (talk) 06:29, 11 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

RFV-failed, moved to Scots. Note, this is only keepable if Scots is an LDL, which seems to have been all but agreed upon at BP. This, that and the other (talk) 01:08, 12 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
