Improvement[edit]

Very good improvement on 24 February! 83.226.234.235 15:33, 3 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

@83.226.234.235 It was me who made the changes, and I've seen your previous message, so I'd like to address your questions:
1. I'm only removing the examples if I can find an equivalent quote, because Wiktionary policy prefers them over example sentences, and also because the ones by the end weren't very good translations, especially number 7, 9 and 11 on the original list. However, finding a really good quote (short, understandable without context, and where the meaning is in focus) is an insane amount of work for twenty-something definitions, so I'm only adding one per definition line.
2. I kept the one "missing" definition, it's under 4.4 in the new list, but involve is not a straight translation for that, more like a coordinate term.
3. I know the entry is now a bit of a monster :) sort of hard to take in all at once, and I'm not happy about it either, believe me. I thought maybe grouping meanings would help somewhat, but other than that, there's not much I can do. Jár is one of those "Swiss Army knife" kind of words that you can use in a wide variety of ways. They exist in every language, compare take in English, currently at 55 definitions, and those are just the main ones!
So anyway, I don't know why you changed your mind, but if you still think that something is badly missing, let me know here. I sure don't want to make an entry worse. --94.21.50.173 22:59, 3 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
Missed one question: noun case endings can now be found among the labels (between parentheses before the definition). --94.21.50.173 23:14, 3 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
Hello, 94.21.50.173! I am sorry for questioning your edits before. You see, I wasn't perceptive enough to notice that, despite the new layout, the information from before was actually still in the article. My eyes had to acclimatise for a while. I think you have made a very good improvement, as I wrote later, so I certainly hope that you continue to contribute to Wiktionary. I myself am a learner of Hungarian – and I believe that contributions as yours help me a lot when it comes to learning this beautiful language. Best regards! 83.226.234.235 15:36, 7 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
