Cebuano Verbs[edit]

@TagaSanPedroAko Placing the verb lemma in the root word like this would have the same problems as it would in Tagalog. Specific meanings can be attached to specific derivations, which would be muddled if it's all in the root word. Though, my question for Cebuano (since I don't edit Cebuano really) is that has a standard spelling been established? Mar vin kaiser (talk) 02:30, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Mar vin kaiser Cebuano dictionaries ordinarily list verbs by the root, the main problem is how to list affixes applicable for each verb sense (which is done in the case of Wolff). I already created conjugation templates for Cebuano, but the vast majority still don't have one. I'm considering creating a specialized template to handle this, similar to the template used to indicate place type for Chinese place names.
In regard to spelling, Cebuano standard spelling can be found at Appendix:Cebuano spellings; it's based on the spelling used by Bisaya magazine and adopted by DepEd and the Cebu provincial government. TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 02:36, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
@TagaSanPedroAko: What do you mean by "template used to indicate place type for Chinese place names"? --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 02:41, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Mar vin kaiser It's {{zh-div}}.
