LOLZ[edit]

Why is there a separate article for LOLZ? Does anybody have any legitimate reason why a variation of capitalization should have a separate entry?

Why the heck is it 'lolz' as opposed to 'lulz'. Who on the internet calls it 'lolz'?

seems like we need an extra article for lulz then

I DID THIS FOR THE LULZ.[edit]

lulz is a corruption of LOL, which stands for Laugh Out Loud

"lulz"[edit]

"Lulz" is a mutation of the form "lol" (meaning laugh out loud) where the "z" and "u" changes were made for an attempt at a humorous effect. "Lulz" (humour) has been identified as a motive for a pan global pseudo-terrorist spontaneous group calling themselves "the anonymous" who were responsible for group harassment of US citizens, publicising endings of books/movies and threats of bombing locations with homebrewed truck bombs. This group states they "did it for the lulz," while an FBI agent classified them as a harmless group getting their kicks by breaking taboos and making threats, who find any spontaneous "out of whack" situation to be comedic. Fox news has described this group as having a "sick sense of humour" who encourage such things as explicit pictures that break social mores. There is currently a video on www.youtube.com which showcases the FoxTV expose on this group.
