- It seems "created in error" in this diff by an anon in 2004. Using substitution "They mapped" would mean "They informed someone of a particular idea." Perhaps they meant "To inform (someone} of {something}" = "They mapped him of Hegelian dialectic". Perhaps they meant "To inform (someone) (of something)" = "They mapped him Hegelian dialectic."
- The first definition doesn't pass muster either.
- IOW, it looks like we have to start over on the most basic definitions of the verb. Even old Webster definitions are probably better than what we have. I don't think it is worth trying to cite these at all. DCDuring (talk) 05:44, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
