This word is not in RAE or SpanishDict. A quick search for "marcir" finds nothing except for this page. 2600:8800:8E04:3200:858C:EFBB:64E4:603E 23:54, 21 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

I moved this here, because it's a claim that the term doesn't exist.
It must have been a quick search, because I was able to find this in just a minute or two (though, by itself, it doesn't count, since it's only a mention- as is this DRAE page). Chuck Entz (talk) 00:21, 22 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hm. All I can find is Catalan stuff, and one example sentence from an online dictionary ("el riguroso estío marció las mieses"). I haven't been able to find a single usage in Castillian text. 70.175.192.217 02:50, 22 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
Maybe it's a regionalism borrowed from Catalan? The DRAE entry for marcido mentions And. y Ar. (Andalucia/Aragón), two regions bordering the Catalan language area. – Jberkel 13:05, 22 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
