Rfv-sense: prostitute. I can only find this in reference to w:Molly Millions, a character in Gibson's Neuromancer trilogy who is specifically a kind of cyborg prostitute. I have failed to find uses of the sense outside this universe. There are a lot of snippet-only uses of "meat puppet" in Google Books where the meaning is not apparent; perhaps some of these uses support the sense. @Kiwima, while I don't enjoy quibbling with your hard work, I point out that the first two cites are specifically discussing Molly in Neuromancer, and the last one does not concern prostitution. I'm not opposed to the definition being altered, but WT:FICTION surely applies here. This, that and the other (talk) 01:22, 9 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Now I look at the entry more closely I see you've done some great work citing the other senses (except the wiki sense, which I am tempted to RFV as well). Are senses 3, 4 and 6 not so close that they could be merged? The distinctions seem so subtle as to be arbitrary. This, that and the other (talk) 01:55, 9 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Are the first two cites about Molly? If so, I agree with your point. I thought only the first was. As for the third, it is making the distinction between a meat puppet (prostitute) and a talk puppet (phone sex worker). As for 3, 4, and 6, they are all related, and related to 5 as well, but I see real differences. 3 is someone who is in a stupor or comatose - alive but not conscious. No one is manipulating them. 4 is someone who mindlessly follows orders, but who is very much an independent person. 5 (the newsreader) is mindlessly reading the news, sort of a special case of 4. 6 is literally manipulated by some sort of supernatural process, they are not merely influenced as in 4, but actually puppeted. Now that I read a couple of the quotes more closely I agree that the senses, while similar, are distinct. As for Molly, the previous sentence in the Anderson et al. quote is "In Neuromancer, she explains to her partner Case how she paid for her enhancements".
