Two notes:

  • "milliHertz" showed up in the Google hits I checked. I debated whether to include it or not, but if it's there at all it should be noted as "seen, but incorrect."
  • I chose "cycle per thousand seconds" as it probably requires less thought to figure out than "thousandth of a cycle per second", which is, of course, what the term literally means. That said, "thousandth of a cycle per second" actually does get a few hits, which the other doesn't. On the one hand, that indicates that people use it. On the other hand, people who would use that term probably don't need to look up "millihertz." You pays your money, you takes your choices . . . -dmh 15:11, 24 Nov 2004 (UTC)
