/ˈmaːnətɛɹi/ (MAHN-uh-teh-ri)[edit]
This week I heard a host on the U.S. PBS News Hour broadcast seem to pronounce this as MAHN-ah-teh-ri, with the first vowel as in de:mahnen, namely /ˈmaːnətɛɹi/ (MAHN-uh-teh-ri). Not sure whether this was an idiosyncrasy (idiolect), a regional accent of some sort, or just me mishearing it. —DIV (1.145.19.122 12:10, 13 April 2023 (UTC))
