Greens dictionary of slang connects the computer etymology to a mundane sense that might underlie sense 2: here. there is also Urban Dictionary, talking about various things, and there is just maybe a slight chance of a valid connection to MIT if it was coined by students who remembered a term from high school, particularly one that might not have been widely understood outside their generation and social group. —Soap— 04:43, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
