Groovy[edit]

Lots of funk musicians use the word nasty when they mean seriously groovy, you dig?

Slutty, sexy, pornographic[edit]

There seems to be a usage in modern culture where nasty means something slutty, sexy, pornographic, or something along those lines. "Nasty girls".

"Dirty, filthy" might mean muddy shoes. Doesn't suggest porn necessarily. Equinox 03:17, 15 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Slang for vagina?[edit]

Can it be slang for vagina, as opposed to the act of sexual intercourse? See dry as a nun's nasty. Equinox 23:41, 13 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Not 'as opposed to' I don't think. "They did the nasty." allows only the "intercourse" definition. But an additional sense is plausible, even likely, though I've not heard it. DCDuring TALK 02:10, 14 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Scratch[edit]

Is "nasty scratch" an idiom? If it is it, what's the etymology of the idiom? Why doesn't it mean "deadly"? Dignitee (talk) 19:55, 14 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
