Adjective?[edit]

Is padrão really inherently an adjective or just a noun functioning as an adjective in compounds (and, as such, used with a hyphen)? Most dictionaries decribe this word only as a noun (except for Priberam, where it is also categorized as an adjective). To me, expressions such as língua-padrão and medida-padrão could be placed in the same category as palavra-chave, where the second noun describes the first one. I don't see the word chave being actually an adjective, so why should padrão be one? (Honestly, I'm a bit confused...) OweOwnAwe (talk) 22:12, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
