- Esperanto is only language that derives word for mother by feminising the word for father. Erkinalp9035 (talk) 10:12, 22 March 2018 (UTC)
- Arabic has والِد (wālid) and والِدة (wālida), which are entirely common words for "father" and "mother", in some dialects even the normal everyday ones. Admittedly the most basic words are أَب (ʔab) and أُمّ (ʔumm), so it's not a perfect example. 90.186.72.23 07:55, 31 December 2019 (UTC)
