Cited. I'm not sure that the verb is standard, though. Also, while I made a point of adding cites that appear to be using it as a true verb, I found that passive-voice patronaged was much more common than any other form, which makes me suspect that in most uses it might be the noun patronage plus the derivational suffix -ed (compare bearded, which is a sometimes verb form meaning “confronted”, but is more often an adjective meaning “having a beard”). —Ruakh_TALK 00:12, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
