@Metaknowledge Is it too late to change my mind? I still think it's a set phrase, but it's ultimately SOP. WF greatly expanded the relevant definitions of pegar, so anyone could figure it out from pegar and tiro. (Especially since I added it as a usex.) Ultimateria (talk) 05:04, 23 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

I don't really think so. The RAE lists it as a locución verbal and I don't think you can really change the words to synonyms. On the other hand, you can also pegar un tiro at someone else, so maybe that should be the main entry. Ultimateria (talk) 17:28, 1 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
