I think you're right, it's an uncountable common noun. It's curious how "the people's microphone" is uncountable while "human microphone" is countable; I suppose "the people's microphone" is a technique, that a "human microphone" employs. ~ Robin 19:36, 24 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
