Generalization[edit]

How about, "1. A sculpture or painting or other representation of the Virgin Mary holding and mourning the dead body of Jesus." The illustration showing the mosaic pieta is one example and "sculpture or painting" would also exclude a pencil drawing, etching, woodcut, charcoal sketch, and other art forms.
